• The Nurse leader Prep & Training covers the relationship the Nurse Leader has with the Administrator and how to communicate within the partnership.

• It explores the new culture change needed within LTC.

• Nursing department budgets will be discussed and hands on practice of developing a staffing model used in budgeting.

• This program covers how the facility is reimbursed and the role of the Nurse Leader in QAPI and survey preparation and management.

• It outlines the responsibilities of the DON role.

• An instructor is assigned to each student so the student can reach out with questions and concerns regarding the class or quizzes.

DIRECTIONS TO PURCHASE

1. Purchase the course.

2. To take the course all of the links to the course and resources will be emailed out the next working day.  (Office hours are 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday).

3. Once you receive the link to the course you may work on it at your own speed.

4. You will be assigned an instructor which you may contact with questions.

5. The course currently available needs to be completed by 6/1/2026.

Participants will be eligible for 14 Contact hours upon completion of the course. This course will prepare the Nurse Leader to take the CDONA™ board certification exam as well as introduce and refresh nurse leaders.

Learners must attend the entire session (live presentation or 11 webinars) and receive a passing post-test with a score of at least 80% in order to receive a certificate of contact hours.

There is no conflict of interest for anyone with the ability to control content of this activity.

This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. WICEAP-0422
