Sylvia’s introduction to long-term care began in 1967. Her first position in long-term care was as a nursing assistant. Long-term care and elder care are her passions. She held her first position as DON in 1989 and continues to blaze a path in long-term care to this day.

Sylvia has been published in New Mobility, Long Term Living and The Director. She is an experienced educator, as evidenced by acquiring NADONA/LTC’s Master Trainer qualifications. Sylvia was the co-presenter of the review class at the 2013 National NADONA/LTC conference. Currently she serves as a Fellow in the Academy of DON’s, serves on the Education Committee and is the President of the Indiana Chapter of NADONA/LTC.
