Shari has worked in the medical field for over 40 years. She holds a BSN from the University of Detroit Mercy.
Shari has worked as a Nurse in Acute Care/Med-Surg, Home Health, Hospice and Skilled Nursing. She has been working in Post-Acute Care for the past 38 years and has held roles from CNA to Administrator, Consultant, and Regional Director of Operations to VP of Clinical Operations. She has served on several Task Forces in the State of Michigan on nursing practice, education and policy.
She is currently working as a Regional Clinical Coordinator for a large SNF company in Michigan. She is a certified DON, Infection Preventionist Board Certified and a Fellow in NADONA.
Shari is the Past President for the Michigan Chapter of NADONA (MINADONA) and currently the program chair for MINADONA and is responsible for all education programs.
As a member of NADONA, she has served on three committees: Nurse Administrator of the Year; Scholarship committee; and Education Planning Committee for the past three years. She was selected as Nurse Administrator of the Year for Midwest Region in 2013.
Shari is married and has 2 children and enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking!
