JACQUELINE VANCE, RNC, BSN, CDONA/LTC, FACDONA, IP-BC

Jacqueline Vance is a board certified Gerontological Registered Nurse, a JackieVance_Marylandboard certified Infection Preventionist, a certified Director of Nursing in long-term care and has her diploma in personal nutrition. . Currently she is Director of Clinical Education for Sava Senior Care where she provides expertise, guidance, advocacy tools, training and information to enable the company to attain clinical operation standards, regulatory compliance and business goals.

Ms. Vance was the Director of Clinical Affairs and Industry Relations for AMDA-The Society of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine for over 14 years where she oversaw all aspects of clinically relevant domains as well as the Clinical Practice Guidelines project. She has previously been a Director of Nursing in long-term care as well as a regional multi-state, multi-facility nursing consultant for a nationwide company. She is currently the Executive Director for the Maryland Chapter of the National Association Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care (NADONA/LTC).

Ms. Vance sits on many national stakeholder committees and coalitions, as well as a board member of the National Transitions of Care Coalition (NTOCC). She is a recipient of several nursing awards, including the National Nurse Administrator of the Year Award/Long-Term Care.  She is actively involved in her mission to improve the quality of care that seniors receive throughout the nation.  Ms Vance is a national speaker on educational topics focused on improving care for the elderly, and has authored multiple articles and manuals on that theme, including chapters in Nursing Home Litigation and Nursing Malpractice Third Edition.  She is on the editorial advisory boards of 3 geriatric journals and is a 2012 APEX Award of Excellence winner for her Blog, “The Real Nurse Jackie”.  In her spare time, she performs stand-up comedy.
