Recertification for the CDONA is every 3 years. Requirement: 50 Contact Hours & 1000 hours minimum as DON/Consultant/or Volunteer in a leadership role within the past 3 years. (38 of CE’s need to be ANCC accredited.) 38 CE’s need to be in the areas of leadership/budgeting/aging process/Medicare/Medicaid and Regulatory requirements. Your recertification renewal will be due on the last day of the month you originally became certified. For example: if you became certified January 2019, you will have until January 31, 2022 to renew your certification. Please keep in mind your certification does not warrant membership!
