Joseph is a Registered Pharmacist, a Fellow in the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (FASCP) and has a Board Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy (BCGP).  He has over twenty five years in clinical, regulatory, risk reduction, financial and operational roles in long term care pharmacies and post acute care/long term care facilities.  Joseph provides oversight and management of all clinical, financial, regulatory and risk programs related to medication management or pharmacy services through with an integrated and analytical approach. Prior to Communicare, he was with Omnicare for twenty years in several clinical roles.  He is the immediate past president and current chairman of the ASCP board of directors.

1.  Describe the updated MDS RAI guidelines for psychoactive medications and discipline specific
approaches for successful implementation
2.  Discuss gradual dose reductions and documentation for patients in skilled nursing homes
3.  Recognize the interprofessional approach to medication management in neurobehavioral diseases
